So since I was in elementary school there’s been this debate over whether or not the public school system in the US should preach creationism vs evolution.
I, personally, am in favor of schools teaching both. I think the US (“in God we trust”) has moved sooo far from being a faith-based society, and that’s the reason you have bad ass 7 year old kids who like to do hoodrat stuff with their friends who smoke with cigarettes.
I think creationism should be taught in contrast to evolution in a debate-like format. How can you truly make a solid point without addressing the anti-thesis anyway!?
Now, before I continue ranting…..this science teacher was recently fired for refusing to remove a bible from his desk. Further investigation revealed that he had burned crosses into his students’ arms as part of a science experiment. The funny thing is that, it’s not a problem that he burned something into the students’ arms but that he burned CROSSES. The device used to burn the crosses has been used for years as part of the curriculum. Interesting…
