Fresh music from the Makeshift Productions camp. The label, now conducting business out of Los Angeles, released “Sweet Confusion” this past weekend featuring their bread & butter artist, Wil May. 

The beat: solid, neosoul, head nodding

The lyrics: smooth, swaggerfull, conscious

The delivery: College Dropout mixed with The Cool

Overall Grade: A-

Summary: This is a resoundingly versatile record. You could listen to this in the car, at the club, at a cigar lounge, in the lobby of the Ritz, or while you’re working out. It’s one of those songs you hear a few times and you already know half the words. Makes for some good music, and usually record sales. Looking forward to see what Makeshift has in store for us next.
